Freeride Thrash
- added 7 February, 2001
Freeride
Thrash is a futuristic 3D racing game. You control a hovering
ship instead of a car, racing against the clock or computer
players at speeds approaching 250 mph. The object of the game
is to win the race.
Controlling your vehicle is easy, use the forward arrow to
accelerate and steer with the left and right arrow keys. You
have to be careful not to crash into the walls, especially
in the corners. If you crash your ship will loose speed.
The graphics in Freeride Thrash are nice and rendered in
3D. The track (yes, there is only one) is well made and the
ships look futuristic. Unfortunately, there are no sound effects,
at least we couldn't hear any on our system. There is a music
track, but it's not very nice.
We'd wish Freeride Thrash had split-screen capabilites, because
playing against a friend would certainly be more fun than
racing against computer players. Also, more ships and tracks
would have been nice. Still, this is a game well worth the
download if you're into this type of game.
