a pinball game mixed with Breakout, in 3D, and you have Ploing.
This is in our opinoin a truly original game. It's both fun and
strange at the same time. The object of the game is to achieve a
certain score in order to proceed to the next level. In order to
accomplish this, you must use your paddle to bounce the ball(s)
around. If a ball drops out of the view, you loose a life. On some
levels the objective is not to score points, but to guide the balls
into a fencing. This keeps the game from becoming to repetitive.
The 3D-graphics in this game are truly marvellous, with all the
lighting effects of modern 3D games. Because of the rather simple
layout of the levels, you get quite descent results even without
a 3D card. In all there are 16 levels to play, and you can even
download more levels from the homepage.
The only negative points about this game is that it becomes a little
to hard on later levels. It may also be a bit too repetitive for
some. But we can absolutely recommend that you give Ploing a try!
