DX-Ball
- added 19 August, 2000
DX-Ball
is a fun and challenging Breakout-style game. It is based on the
popular Amiga game Megaball. For those of you who don't know Breakout,
the object is as follows: Steer the paddle using the mouse in order
to keep the ball (or balls) in the air. Try to make the ball bounce
into the bricks in order to clear the level and adcance to the next.
If you drop the ball, you loose a paddle.
The graphics in DX-Ball are quite good, and the sound effects are
superb. There are many Breakout-style games out there, but this
is definately on of the best. The gameplay is as good as possible,
and there are lots of levels to complete. Should you complete these,
you can make your own with the hidden level editor. In order to
invoke the level editor, press Control + F1 at the intro screen.
All in all this is a great game which should be on everybody's harddisk!
